Minuta Architecture is now an Energy Star Partner!    As such, we can better serve our clients need by designing homes to meet the rigorous Energy Star guidelines for energy efficiency set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. These homes are at least 15% more energy efficient than homes built to building code standards, and include additional energy-saving features that typically make them 20–30% more efficient than standard homes. Any home three stories or less can earn the Energy Star label if it has been verified to meet EPA's guidelines, even existing retrofitted homes. Energy Star qualified homes include a variety of 'tried-and-true' energy-efficient features that contribute to improved home quality and homeowner comfort, and to lower energy demand and reduced air pollution. For more information, visit Energy Star or contact us directly.

Minuta Architecture’s Green Building Team continues to grow.  Debra Evans, ASID, CID, our interior designer, has become a LEED Accredited Professional under the LEED CI (Commercial Interiors) system!  We believe the knowledge Debra has acquired will be of great benefit to our retail clients.  LEED-certified spaces are becoming more and more desirable to tenants as energy costs continue to rise.  They cost less to operate due to higher resource efficiency and create high performance productive work environments which is a win-win for owners, occupants, and our environment.

Minuta Architecture is now a USGBC member company!  The United States Green Building Council is an organization at the forefront of working to redefine how we embark on our pursuits to develop our built environment sustainably in the future.  Go to usgbc.org to find out more.

Minuta Architecture now provides LEED green building rating system accreditation services!  Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) program establishes a rating system for buildings that meet certain levels of environmental responsibility in areas such as use of recycled materials, energy and resource efficiency and indoor environmental quality.  Joseph Thompson, our project manager, has recently earned LEED Accredited Professional status.  Our firm is committed to green building and environmentally responsible design practices and we have both the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully guide a project throughout the LEED certification process. Please contact us today with all your green building and other design needs!
