Nora Cronin Presentation Academy

Description: The Nora Cronin Presentation Academy is a rehabilitation of an existing residence into an all girls catholic school. In order to meet new building standards, the entire building has been raised off of the original foundation. This project is environmentally responsible as it is a rehabilitation of an existing structure. The client sought to improve and reuse existing infrastructure rather than to consume significantly more virgin land and resources by building new. The rehabilitation of the structure was extensive and included measures to be taken to bring the structure up to compliance with modern energy codes. Upgraded windows and insulation greatly increased the energy efficiency of the structure.

Washington Street Pre-Kindergarten School

Client: Newburgh Enlarged City School District

Date: Ongoing

Location: Newburgh, NY

Description: Drawings were drafted in order to bring the existing educational institution in compliance with the building code. Additionally, the roof was replaced and a new addition is being designed.

Gidney Ave. Memorial School

Description: The gym floor at Gidney Ave. was replaced as well as work being done to the existing educational institution to make it compliant with the New York State Building Code.

Vails Gate Elementary School

Location: New Windsor, NY

Description: Drawings were drafted in order to bring the existing educational institution in compliance with the building code. Additionally, the existing single pane windows will be replaced with new windows to greatly decrease the buildings energy consumption.
